Yo people, Chandan here.
And i have some reach matters to discuss.

By Wenesday 29th July 2009,
You have to check your Reach Portfolio on the ISIs portal, under My Reach Activities tab.

SO then, please check your portfolio, or the lack of it.
And take note, there are 4 statuses.

Endorsed = Completed everything.

Completed= Teacher havent endorsed, cause need to submit letter of endorsement, or complete online reflections. For activities done with external organizations, please submit the letter ASAP to Reach Teacher Mentor.

Approved = If have completed the activity, get the team leader to change activity status to COMPLETED. Then complete the online reflection and survey, and submit the letter of endorsement to Reach teacher Mentor.

Pending = Most of us cause we havent planned anything yet

So, if there is any problems, there is a verification session on 29th July Wednesday at 2.00pm at E3-2.
Our class's Reach Teacher Mentor is Ms Hartini. So anything can go consult her.

SO after promos, our class has to do one reach activity together with majority of the class involved. So we will have to choose who we want to help.

Okay, I know purple is kinda gay, but it's okay cos I'm a girl. Hehe!

If you don't know yet, we've got an fb group! (yay!) 8D
Just for fun, really. But still. Go join if you're on fb! If you're not, it's another reason to get on the bandwagon! (correct usage of the phrase, anyone?) But if you don't, never mind..we'll just have one less person in the group. (we currently have 12 members only. Just past half.) And some great exam tips:

1) Don't go to the wrong toilet.
2) Check your pants, oops i mean pens.
3) If you want to cheat, don't get caught.
4) Sleep well the night before the exam. If not, sleep during the exam.
5) Bring a sweater into the examination hall should you feel cold. Or if you're in need of a bigger sweat.
6) Have a light breakfast. Not breakslow though. It makes you late >.<
7) Check your paper. If you have a stomach ache, check for toilet paper.

I am going to be such a sweetheart now, (hey wait, what am I talking about? I'm always a sweetheart) and update this blog. if you don't know who's talking yet, it's me. register number three. omg that rhymes. freakyy.
OMG. it rhymed again! okay, I need to stop being a bimbo now.

I would say alot of things happened since the last time anyone of us blogged but I would be lying. besides, all we had were just a couple of lectures, tests and tutorials. OH. we had our FIRST JC EXAM EVAAHHH. right after that we had our class outing which was sort of anti-climatic following the harsh brutal force of the whole examination mode if you ask me.

oh and we shall all mourn the loss of our beloved Economics Tutor who is moving to Serangoon Junior College to become the Head Of Department or whatever there. our prayers go to the next bunch of sorry children she is going to teach.
I wonder who will be taking over us now. *cue suspense music*

is it just me or HAS NO ONE STUDIED? okay I shan't be an ass. I'm sure there are sooooo many people in our class who have started mugging because they are awesome. unfortunately I am not one of them because academics isn't my forte at the moment. I'm guessing I'm not the only one.

I am supposed to be studying economics now. I stopped at the price mechanism and idled my way to my computer and updated this thang. I was like chiong-ing like hell and all of a sudden I was like 'why hasn't anyone updated the class blog?' see this is how much I think of you guys.

FINALLYYYY after all these months, we have our third class mass convo! we decided to play this game, where everyone takes turns to say 3 words to make a story. it turned out like this:

STORY PART 1

the sun was.. bright and yellow! just then it.. drop and fell.. into a pile.. of toilet paper.. which joel used.. which was stained.. icky white stuff.. which joel thought.. was fariz's favourite pink coloured underwear! just then the.. big blue chicken.. had a massive.. purple tongue on.. fadhil on it..so it tried.. to bite fadhil.. nipples so that.. fadhil would yell.. "SUN MYUNG OWNS!" The chicken then.. bit dalston's large.. brown juicy durians.. however, it(was) poisonous..so it died.

and then we kinda turned economics and.. tada

STORY PART 2

chicken mcnuggets were.. a luxury good.. which are elastic.. price and income.. that only sien.. falls down straight.. on your ass.. to ppc curve.. and market fails.. then to fariz.. who spins fadhil.. on the bed.. right round and.. they got hurt.. down the bed.. on the floor.. on to dinesh.. who also spins.. round and round.. leaving a deep.. watermelon, where sien.. used to sleep.. and vivi had.. jumped on it.. and it broke.. leading to mass.. destruction in there.. so dalston had.. to go now.. cuz he tired.

As you all know, the annual Mjc sports day, aka Colosseum, Champeonatos de Brasil, is coming! And sign ups for both track and game events are open alr. Today was like a very tiring day for me... Of course for you darlings too.... But anyway, coming to the main point of the post of the day, I really thank you guys for cheering for me... It really mean alot.... I won't go around and say i love you (although sometimes i do) but i really love you guys.... Do you know ppl actually have to ask their friends for help in the rally but you guys actually offered me help again and again! Its like unexpected... Totally touched.... okay, i think some (or maybe quite a few) of you can't access the econs e-learning. is it the slides or the quiz? for the slides, i was told you don't need them to understand the notes. so, just try to read them, kay people? if it's the quiz, i have no idea how to help you, im so sorry. maybe you can email the teacher? and for econs, don't forget that we have to do the essays in the workbook. To my beloved 09S104, it is disheartening to say that less than 10 of us are available to meet up on Wednesday afternoon. Nevertheless, we shall kick major ass yea :D

I've sorted out the people going into three teams. (subject to changes in case they last minute pangseh)

Group C (optional, for those who plan to skip cca) = Glenn, Alicia, Johan, JunJie. Kenneth

TimeSchedule

1230: Groups B and C will adjourn at Tampenis MRT

1245: Groups B and C will depart for Plaza Singapura or Vivocity.

1330: Group A will join Groups B and C at Plaza Singapura or Vivocity.

1400++: Groups A, B and C will charge down into cinema. :D

then, we'll have lunch cum dinner. yes, cum cum. hahaha. you get my drift, people. who want to have food competition with me? :D the main point is, we get to watch the movie aites :D

below are the two movies in mind. reasons are, firstly, Hollywood is having recession. secondly, the Ratings Board gave M18 ratings to some movies which dont require those ratings, such as Underworld 3. thirdly, the other movies available are crap compared to this two. so yeah. I'll mass sms you people again when i wake up.

P.S. Im praying to God that everyone of you are available to make it, which I doubt would happen. But who cares, its been only three days and I miss you guys alrdy, especially Fadhil. HAHA. Okay, text me if there's anything. See you robots on Wednesday! :D

ladies and gentlemen, I have an announcement to make.

I don't think I can make it for the 09S104 outing. I mean I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to but I really can't. I can only make it on monday or wednesday. I'm leaving the country for the rest of the holiday.

So these are the problems:
1. Monday is too short notice. I mean, it's not short notice for me but it maybe for some of you so Monday is out.
2. On Wednesday, Si En and Syafiqah can't make it because of the Citibank thing.

Therefore I conclude that I cannot go because of the reasons stated above. I would love to go but I just can't. We'll have another outing as a class soon I promise.

Well I've just been to the Reach Enrichment Workshop with the SLC and other Reach Reps. I replaced Chandan and its kind of a last minute thing so I was at first reluctant... BUT I had the fortitude and thus I went! (((: I feel like praising myself. There are a few things that I need to convey to the whole class but I shall do that in another post. Be patient.

Ok moving on, I need the class overall opinion on whether the blogskin should be changed or not. Personally I like this skin because its so preeeety, like that girl *eheem* but its really compact and sort of not user friendly. So I propose we change to a more wide blogskin. But I really need all your opinions. Tagboard please.

Lastly, is the class outing still on?

everyone, including our seniors, rushed to the perkafe thinking we were all late for our duty. no one remembered to bring the keys to unlock the cafe. we were stuck outside standing around like some idiots for a while.

the people yesterday hu were on their last shift went to turn off the fridge. that means the food inside may have gone bad =X stay away from perkafe for a while if u want to avoid getting indigestion and diarrhoea=) if not, we wish u all the best x)

we waited and waited and waited and nobody came=( and i was like thinking sighhhhh have a shift at this period for what?! everyone all having lessons also-.-! and we continued waiting and stoning. 1) I used to be the AV representative in my secondary school class because I was the only one who bothered to go to other classes to borrow OHPs. Do you guys even know what an OHP is? If you don't, please ask me.
2) I am claustraphobic. That means if you guys lock me up in a closet or somewhere I can barely move I will start crying.
3) I was once in a relationship that lasted 24hours. I agreed, went to sleep, woke up and realised I was an idiot to have accepted the guy.
4) I have six alarm timings. That means I set six alarms on my phone to go off at 2:45am, 3:00am, 3:30am, 4:30am, 5:00am, 6:10am. I always, ALWAYS, wake up at the last one.
5) I LOVE JOHNNY DEPP. HE IS THE BEST ACTOR IN THE UNIVERSE.

Hi. As some of you know, I had to go for some econs rep meeting yesterday. Some of the stuff they discussed/briefed us about concerns our class, so I thought I'd just tell you guys about it first.

OKAY. Here goes.

For TERM 2 WEEKS 1-5 we will be covering MARKET FAILURE AND GOVT INTERVENTION. Here's what we will need to do. I quote the paper:

Each CG will set up and manage an "Economics Blog". These blogs will be hosted in external server such as blogspot or wordpress. The postings (at least 3 per week per class) on the blog will be focused on Market Failure, specificall, it should coincide with each week's topic.

Students may post
a. responses to specific questions raised by the lecturers
b. write ups on a newspaper, magazine, online article which explains the relevance to Market Failure
c. any other useful web links or scanned articles which may be useful or interesting (related to the topic)
d. reklated comics, poems
e. daily observations related to the topic

The blogs and the related competition will run for the entire duration of the lecture series of Market Failure (Term 2, week 2 to week 6)

There will also be a competition for the best blog held throughput the duration of this activity. This will help to motivate the students to participate and also recognize their efforts.

Criteria:
a. participation (40%)
b. quality of posts (40%)
c. creativity/design (20%)

Phew. So long sia. Okay, I'm gonna have to assign roles to you guys.....sometime. Will do it in term 2, I guess. Okay, that's all for now. :)

Hi my class-mates! This is like my second post... Haha.... Know where i am right now? You will never believe it.... I am still in school.... Is like 5.20pm already.... Actually i wanted to go home at 1 plus leh... All thanks to our darling CG rep.... Then even Jonathan can come and join us... Haha. Oh! We saw Eric in the library! Cool right? Haha. Then we are suppose to do the GP project one.... Then, we did lah. But.... we talk nonsense too.... Cannot tell la... But can ask if you want to.... Then jonathan was like reading manga and we were talking and doing project.... I almost didnt realise his presence! How sad! But still, he cannot not to be noticed la... Too lame already.... P.S (whispers to the my classmates) - I really love you guys alot. I am like totally enjoying my time with you people. Although at first we didnt know each other well and was kind of quiet in class, feeling uncomfortable with one another BUT, NOW WE ARE SO CLOSE LIKE A CLASS RIGHT? Haha. I am so glad. Previously when i saw other classes sitting together, i was so jealous. I was thinking why can't our class do the same thing too? Then, ever since that day i told you guys to sit together during recess for me to do admin stuff and etc, you guys began to pick up the habit and sit together. It was like a SURPRISE to me! Haha. OUR CLASS HOT OR NOT?

Okay, right now I'm sitting in the MJC library's computer lab on computer number 27 with Si En at the computer beside me. We are DANCERS. Hence, our CCA does not start until five thirty. So here we are, slacking. We are pretending to research about really random stuff. Si En is pretending to look for materials about vectors. I am pretending to research about rice.

I love our class. LIKE I REALLY DO. for now, these are some of the reasons why I love my class.

ahem ahem.

1) We all sit together during lunch/recess. I absolutely love that. And then we talk about alot of weird things and things I usually talk about are weird.
2) The fact that you guys call me a bimbo. It might not be a noble title, but at least I have a classmate identity. (F.Y.I, I am not the ONLY bimbo. there are others for instance Phay Chung, Faiz, Fariz,(oh wait, the last two are MATS) etc..)
3) The guys are so insanely funny and they make me laugh until my sides hurt.
Example: that time we were SUPPOSED to take our mug shots and you guys started the staring competition thing. I nearly died laughing because your faces were so serious one second and the next second you're all bursting into uncontrollable laughter.
4) I can sing and dance in class and you guys won't make fun of me. Wait, you guys will give me weird looks as though you were questioning my sanity, but that's like it. Other than that, only several people call me crazy not the whole class.
5) We have a blog which is like the coolest thing EVAH.

Okay I will think about other examples later but that is it for now. Yeah it might be surprising to some of you that I can actually count to five but whatever.

Isn't our physics project SO COOL? I can't wait to get started.
